Our Changing Rooms are being upgraded at Helston Sports Centre!

As a charitable social enterprise, we're always trying to improve the facilities we offer your community. That's why we're excited to announce an investment of £402,000 to transform our aging changing facilities into a modern, accessible unisex changing village coupled with the installation of a new purpose built air handling system suited to the needs and expectations of all users.

This means from Monday 23rd November, the existing changing rooms will close with temporary changing facilities available during this time. Where possible, we are asking for members to arrive swim-ready to help reduce demand on the changing facilities. We recommend bringing a dry robe and flip-flops for poolside use and using the designated poolside zones for your belongings.

During the project all other in centre facilities will remain open and in use.

Single Centre Gym, Swim & Classes members will be temporarily upgraded from Monday 23rd November so that you can access both St Ives Leisure Centre and Truro Leisure Centre to limit disruption to your routine throughout the improvement works. This will be completed automatically, so don't worry you don't have to do a thing.

Better Swim School will continue as normal throughout the duration of the project apart from the annual 2 week shut down over the Christmas Period.

As a team, we are excited to welcome this next chapter for the Sports Centre. This marks an important step in safeguarding its future for years to come, ensuring that we can continue to provide our vital services and support to the Helston and Lizard community. Please pay close attention to our social media accounts where we will share updates throughout the duration of the project.
